Our adoption fees do not cover the average cost of our rescues. We provide each animal with the medical care they need, including routine veterinary care as well as additional diagnostics and treatment when medically necessary. For animals who are sick, injured, or have congenital conditions, this may include surgery, X-rays, bloodwork, fecal testing, medications, treatment for respiratory infections or viruses, and other specialized care recommended by our veterinary team.
Donations above and beyond the adoption fee are greatly appreciated and help us continue to rescue those in need. Once you’ve adopted a new pet into your family, all veterinary expenses are your responsibility for the life of your pet. Please know that we require up-to-date rabies vaccinations for all pets the adopter has.
