ADOPTION FEES AND WHAT IT COVERS

The Adoption fee covers for cats/kittens:

• Spayed or neutered       
• Rabies (received at time of spay/neuter unless already fixed)
• 1 or more of the FVRCP Distemper series (3 total for kittens, 2 over 6 months)      
• Treated for fleas      
• Dewormed
• Microchipped        
• Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)      

The Adoption fee covers for dogs:

• Spayed or neutered            
• Vaccinations (Rabies, Lyme, DHPP, Lepto, Bordetella, and Canine Flu)    
• Heart worm tested and on preventative 
• On flea & tick medicine                
• Microchipped  

Our adoption fees do not cover the average cost of our rescues. We always provide any necessary medical care for all animals we take in, such as surgery for injuries or congenital problems, x-rays, blood panels, fecal tests, and treatment for upper respiratory infections and viruses. 

Donations above and beyond the adoption fee are greatly appreciated and help us continue to rescue those in need.  Once you’ve adopted a new pet into your family, all veterinary expenses are your responsibility for the life of your pet. Please know that we require up-to-date rabies vaccinations for all pets the adopter has.
